Administering auto-enrolment pensions

What is the auto-enrolment pension scheme?

Enrolling employees in a pension scheme is now mandatory for UK business owners regardless of size. This involves setting up an automatic enrolment pension and then assessing each of your employees at a specified staging date for their eligibility. Once assessed you need to communicate to employees how they have been assessed and what this means for them in relation to auto-enrolment.

Once the staging date has passed you will need to:

Continually assess those employees who have not been auto-enrolled
Upload a pension contribution feed to your chosen pension providers website, every time you pay your employees.
